For those of you who don't know what an ebook is a book, usually a guide or action plan, published in electronic format (it's a computer file not a paperback). Although you can of course buy novels and other such books in electronic format that is not the kind that will make you money.

The basic logic behind this is that it can be downloaded easily and quickly from the Internet. In other words it is instantly accessible. This is because an ebook typically addresses a problem or shows the recipient how to do something and therefore their satisfaction is instant.

The choice of ebook subject is limited only by the imagination but let's look at a few good examples:

The modern world is a stressful place and people are constantly looking for new ways to relax effectively. If you can give people an action plan that will lower their stress, improve their health and ultimately lengthen their lives, they would pay you for it.

Everybody needs relationship advice sometime and a lot of people struggle to meet a partner these days. Show them how it is possible to meet and attract a suitable partner and they will give you money to help them.

These are just a few random examples of how you can make money writing ebooks. If the book addresses a specific problem and have a clear target audience then there is a market for it.

How To Choose A Topic

You might be thinking that you cannot write a book. Well, if you really think hard I bet you could come up with a title or two for an ebook that would give someone valuable information.

Are you a teacher? Write a book about improving the attention span of you students. Do you like gardening? Write a book about growing perfect plants or getting a better quality lawn. Do you know something about dogs? Write a book about keeping your pet healthy. When you start to think about it it is never ending. Here are some more points for choosing a market.

Try this exercise. Get a piece of letter size paper and with a pencil divide it into about 30 or so boxes. Then brainstorm as many ideas as you can to fill the boxes. Don't worry too much about specifics at this point, just fill in the spaces with things that you know about or interest you (red wine, tennis, cats, hula dancing.....etc). I bet you will discover at least a couple of things that you could make money writing ebooks about.
